Job complete! A pleasurable experience from start to finish, I couldn't be happier. I had my front walkway (patio slabs) and step replaced (and a safety surface on my existing porch). This had become a safety issue in the winter. The Samterra team answered all our questions and provided solutions from layout to surface finishing options. The staff were polite and courteous and explained what they were doing every step of the way. With Samterra it isn't “their way or the highway”, they are willing to help you achieve your needs so be clear with your needs and expectations up front and you won't be disappointed. A year and a half ago Samterra poured a concrete pad for our hot tub. From the moment the team arrived, we knew we picked a fantastic contractor. They took their time to prep and protect our property from damage. The work was done quickly, but care was never sacrificed. For this reason, it was a no brainier to call them back to build a second pad after changing houses. Ashley gave us the option of stamping the concrete with a wood finish that to this day blows our mind in their ability to make concrete look like a natural wood deck. Without hesitation I would recommend Samterra for all concrete needs. Working with the friendly Ashley & Matt and their entire team is just the icing on the cake!

Samterra has been a pleasure to deal with. Ashley, the office manager, is the consummate professional. She was always available to answer any questions or concerns. She was so prompt and arranged everything to flow seamlessly. Everyone that was part of the crew that came to install the concrete pad was professional and kind. The install went off without a hitch. They adjusted the project when we requested to add extra area to be covered. If they said that the crew will show up at 8am, they showed up at 8am. Everyone was so professional and the workmanship is amazing.

What is the best way to extend the life of my concrete?

Keep it clean and reseal regularly if you have stamped/decorative concrete. Salt is concretes worst enemy, we recommed sand or at the very least safe salt.

What are the benefits of concrete vs. interlock?

Concrete offers easy upkeep and retains its fresh, ‘just finished’ appearance for years. Its versatility allows you to shape it to your exact specifications, crafting curved walkways, modern porches, elegant backyard patios, and pool decks. You have the flexibility to select both the color and finish of the concrete, including options like stamped concrete.

Is safe salt ok to use on my concrete?

No, even safe salt does indirectly damage your concrete driveways, patios, and sidewalks. Bumps and potholes don’t just appear due to regular wear and tear – salt damages concrete over time by causing corrosion to occur under the surface, leading to discolored, cracked, and crumbling concrete.

How often do I need to seal my stamped/decorative concrete?

By sealing your concrete every 2 years, it will keep your finish and colours beautifully intact. Resealing will also protect your concrete keeping it in good condition, preventing cracks, pitting, and additional damage.

What is the process for installing a concrete pad?

There are many steps to build a concrete pad. 1. Excavation 2. back fill with aggregate 3. framing, 4. placing steel reenforcemnts, 5. pouring concrete. 5.After concrete is set, we strip the forms, place relief cuts if necessary.

How soon can I use my concrete after it is installed?

While its optimum strength is known to peak roughly 28 days after its installation, concrete will continue to harden and develop as time goes on, starting the day its poured.

Can I make concrete look more appealing?

There are many options for upgrading concrete. Some options include, adding color directly into the concrete mix and stamping the concrete to give a beautiful patterned finish. Our stamped concrete services are not only pleasing to the eye it also helps disguise any future flaws form being as noticeable.
